Dorothy--lifted by a twister out of a black-and-white Kansas and deposited in a Technicolor fairyland ruled by the Wicked Witch of the West. In Dorothy's quest to meet and be sent home by an unseen and unknown Wizard, she meets a dancing Scarecrow , a squeaking Tin Man , and a cowardly Lion and is persistently accompanied by her little dog, Toto.
